Communication boards are one type of low tech AAC. They can be used with other AAC systems (like sign language or an SGD), or by themselves. We discuss updates to sites/features that can be used in communication boards in collaboration with Katrina from Cboard.
We had the unique opportunity to discuss all things AAC with Tara Rudnicki, President of Tobii Dynavox North American Market. We are both big advocates for AAC and individuals with complex communication needs, and we left the conversation feeling educated and revitalized about high-tech systems.
